TAA’s conference program features three writing tracks:
Academic Writing Track: Learn tips on how to plan your writing projects for maximum productivity; create writing that is clearer, better organized, and more compelling; revise at the macro and micro levels with efficiency; safeguard your scholarship; get started with conducting and writing systematic reviews; use qualitative coding to enrich data analysis; collaborate more effectively; and more.
Textbook Writing Track: The textbook writing track focuses on industry trends, production strategies, and publishing contracts and royalties. Learn what you need to know about rights and permissions; get updated on the latest developments in publishing contracts and author royalties; and learn more about innovative textbook features, OER, and marketing your book on a budget.
General Track: Rounding out the program are sessions on Creative Commons Licensing; prevention, detection, and enforcement against digital piracy; creating visuals to enhance your writing; effective collaboration management strategies; and tips on sharpening your writing tools.
In addition, the conference offers one-on-one mentoring with industry experts, meaningful networking opportunities, and free professional head shots to help you build your marketing profile.
