Nominate your textbook for a 2015 TAA textbook award

Textbook Excellence AwardMcGuffey Longevity AwardTAA is now accepting nominations for its Textbook Excellence Awards (Texty), McGuffey Longevity Awards (McGuffey), and the Most Promising New Textbook Excellence Awards. The deadline for nominations is November 1, 2014; books must be received for judging by December 1, 2014.

The Textbook Excellence Award recognizes current textbooks and learning materials in their second or later edition that carry a copyright date for the previous or current year.

The McGuffey Longevity Award recognizes textbooks and learning materials whose excellence has been demonstrated over time. Eligible works must have been in print 15 years and be still selling.

Most Promising New Textbook AwardTextbooks in their first editions can compete for the Most Promising New Textbook Excellence Award.

Open to members and nonmembers, TAA has been honoring academic authors with these awards for nearly 20 years. Award winners will be announced in the spring, with awards being formally presented during an awards luncheon at TAA’s 28th annual conference to be held in Las Vegas in June 2015.
