Walter receives TAA Textbook Contract Review Grant
Jenia Walter was recently awarded a Textbook Contract Review Grant for her upcoming textbook, “Building Writing Skills the Hands-on Way ” (working title), to be published in 2015 by Cengage Learning. The book provides a hands-on approach to college writing skills. Appealing to multiple learning styles, this approach allows students to use their multiple intelligences to master grammatical concepts before transferring them to reading and writing mode.
An associate professor of English at San Juan College in Farmington, New Mexico, Walter is currently working as an online adjunct from Fort Collins, Colorado while she finishes her book. “I am grateful for the support for legal assistance with contract negotiation, which despite challenges, was extremely beneficial, as well as an important educational process,” Walter said.
