Hull, Trujillo elected to TAA Council
Richard Hull and Al Trujillo have been elected to the TAA Council, the association’s governing board. They will serve three-year terms beginning July 1, 2016.
Hull is a Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at SUNY at Buffalo, and was TAA’s executive director for eight years. Trujillo is a Distinguished Teaching Professor of Earth Sciences at Palomar Community College, and coauthor of two leading college-level oceanography textbooks.
“I am eager to join the Council and bring my years of publishing mostly academic works back into service of an organization I love and admire,” said Hull.
Said Trujillo: “I find great value in TAA as an organization and I support the mission of TAA. Being an author is a time-consuming and individual endeavor, so it’s nice to communicate with other authors about authorship issues, which TAA facilitates through a wide range of professional development resources, events, and networking opportunities.”
Thank you to all members who participated in the election process. As a member-driven organization, TAA relies on members’ willingness to get involved in governance and other activities of the association. Learn more about the TAA Council.
