Busy TAA People: Sabrina Switzer-Wareing

Sabrina Switzer WareingTAA member Sabrina Switzer-Wareing has received a Spotlight Award from the American Association of Community Theatre.

She is the Director of Drama for the Herberger Young Scholars Academy which is affiliated with Arizona State University. She directs innumerable performances the most of which involve an interaction with the community at large. In addition, she writes the majority of her performance plays and Podcasts. Recently, she directed an interdisciplinary performance and STEAM experience in celebration of the bicentennial of Mary Shelley’s seminal masterpiece, Frankenstein, as part of international recognition of the work. She will be presenting at the NAGC in November. Switzer-Wareing has worked in community theatre in Arizona, Ohio, Kentucky, Minnesota, and South Dakota. She has won several awards for her work. She is working on developing a collection of her works as part of a textbook on directing and acting. She has also worked professionally as both an actor and director in various professional theatrical companies.
