Her most recent publication is Florida History Makers: Myself, My School, My Community. She is currently working on more Florida History Makers social studies textbooks for grades 1-5.

I’ve been selected as a presenter at the NAME (National Association for Multicultural Education) 2022 Annual Virtual Conference. My session is titled “Inclusive Social Studies Curriculum: Illuminating the Past and Lighting the Way Forward.”

What is your favorite textbook writing tip or strategy?

Write without fear, edit without mercy (and adhere to the state standards)!
