Her most recent publications are Fundamentals of Human Resource Management: People, Data, and Analytics; Human Resource Management: People, Data, and Analytics; Organizational Behavior: Bridging Science and Practice; Essentials of Organizational Behavior: Bridging Science and Practice; and Psychology and Work: Introduction to Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
What are you currently working on?
Revisions to journal articles, textbooks, and working on ideas for new research projects.
Share a recent accomplishment.
I am a 2020 recipient of the Presidential Career Research Award at Portland State University. I have received conditional acceptance of an article in the Journal of Management titled “Welcome back? Job performance and turnover of boomerang employees compared to internal and external hires.” by Arnold, J., Van Iddekinge, C. H., Campion, M. C., Bauer, T. N., & Campion, M. A. I was awarded an NIH Grant: SHIFT Onboard: Protecting new transit operators against safety & health hazards. (National Institutes of Health, Cardiovascular Diseases Research). And I have been appointed as an Associate Editor at Journal of Applied Psychology under Editor Lillian Eby.
What is your favorite textbook writing tip or strategy?
Think about students from the start. What will work for them? What doesn’t work for them? Doing this can go a long way.
What is your best TAA experience so far?
TAA is a helpful, positive, and supportive organization. The webinars and support materials are good resources. I was honored to hear that Human Resource Management: People, Data, and Analytics was being honored with a TAA 2020 Most Promising New Textbook Award.
