Call for nominations to the TAA Council
The TAA Governance Committee announces a call for nominations for Vice-President/President-Elect, Treasurer, Secretary, and two Council positions. All nominations must be received by March 1, 2017.
As a member-driven organization, TAA relies on members’ willingness to get involved in governance and other activities of the association. TAA Council executive office positions serve two years; Council positions serve three-year terms. The VP/President-Elect role normally serves two years, then with approval of Council, automatically rises to President for a two-year term, followed by Immediate Past President for another two-year term.
Council members are expected to attend all duly called meetings of the Council. Typically, two are held in person, one in January, and one the day prior to the association’s annual conference, held traditionally in June. Other meetings may be held by Conference Call. Most travel and lodging expenses related to attending in-person meetings are reimbursed. Any member of TAA is eligible to serve on the TAA Council.
The terms for these positions start on July 1, 2017.
You may nominate yourself or another TAA member whom you feel would bring value to the role. Please assess the willingness to serve of any other member you nominate before you put their name in.
